After learning about the introduction of the East-West industrial cooperation project in Xiamen Torch High-tech Zone, Martin, who has worked hard in Jinjiang for many years and has a successful career, did not hesitate to respond to the call and decided to return to his hometown to start a business. The two sides hit it off: In October 2019, Martin's Footwear Company and Torch's Investment Company jointly established Jimin Footwear in Guanghe County, which mainly produces sports shoes, sandals, and children's shoes for export to Middle East and African countries.

“Our factory currently has more than 150 workers, of which 58 are registered households, and women account for the vast majority.” When it comes to the current situation of the factory, Martin expresses pride in his words. He said that after training, workers have become proficient in using machine tools, and many women have also completed the transformation from farmers to industrial workers.
